The tech giant launched Facebook AI Mode, a brand-new search experience that uses Meta AI to synthesize conversational answers directly from public posts. Instead of traditional search bars that return a basic list of links or force you to scroll endlessly through separate feeds, this updated tool mines years of user-generated content across Groups, Reels, and Marketplace listings to answer queries in plain language.

The feature, currently rolling out to users in the US, seems clearly inspired by Google Search’s AI Mode. However, Meta‘s counterpart acts as a front door to a massive database of social interactions. If you type a question into the search bar, the system can instantly pull practical advice from a local Group discussion, recommend an active product listing from Marketplace, or surface a helpful clip from an existing video reel.
