具体的には、github.comで課題をCopilotに割り当てる際、またはエージェントタブ、エージェントパネル、GitHub Mobile、Raycastランチャーからタスクを開始する際に、ドロップダウンメニューからモデルを選択可能となる。選択肢には「Auto」設定が含まれており、これを選択するとCopilotが可用性に基づいてモデルを自動選択し、速度とパフォーマンスを最適化する。
ただし、この機能は組織の管理者が利用可能なモデルを有効にしている場合にのみ表示される。管理者がどのモデルも有効にしていない場合、モデルピッカーは表示されず、デフォルトで「Claude Sonnet 4.6」が自動的に使用される。

In December, we launched model selection for Copilot Pro and Pro+ users. Today, we’ve opened up the model picker to Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise users, so you can choose the model that’s right for your task.
When assigning an issue to Copilot on github.com, or when starting a task from the agents tab, agents panel, GitHub Mobile, or the Raycast launcher, you can use the dropdown to pick from the following models:
If you leave the setting on Auto, Copilot optimizes speed and performance by automatically choosing a model based on availability.
If your administrator has not enabled any of the models listed above, the model picker will not be shown, and Claude Sonnet 4.6 will be used automatically.
