Organization-level Copilot usage metrics dashboard available in public preview - GitHub Changelog Back to changelog Until now, Copilot usage metrics dashboards were only available at the enterprise level. With this release, organization owners can view GitHub Copilot usage metrics for their organization directly in the GitHub UI. This dashboard brings the same organization-scoped insights as the recently released organization usage APIs into an easy-to-scan experience. This way, org admins don’t need to rely on enterprise reporting to understand adoption and usage trends.
The dashboard shows organization-scoped Copilot usage metrics for members of your organization.
All organization types can use the dashboard, including enterprise-owned organizations and standalone Free or Team organizations.
Organization owners and users with a custom role that includes View Organization Copilot Metrics can access it, as long as Copilot usage metrics are enabled for the enterprise or organization.
Understand Copilot adoption and usage trends at the organization level.
Share access with least privilege using organization-scoped roles without granting enterprise-wide visibility.
Reduce reliance on enterprise reporting for day-to-day org-level insights.
If your organization belongs to an enterprise, organization-level totals won’t match enterprise totals. Users can belong to multiple organizations, so their usage can appear in more than one organization report, while enterprise reporting deduplicates users.
