github.com 上の Copilot チャットにおいて、特定のモデルでモデルネイティブなウェブ検索を有効にしました。この機能強化により、Copilot はモデルに組み込まれたウェブ検索を利用して、最新の出来事やその他の時間に敏感な質問に対して、より迅速かつ正確に回答できるようになります。
有効化されている場合、および利用可能な範囲において、github.com 上の GitHub Copilot チャットはモデルネイティブなウェブ検索を使用します。
その他のモデルは引き続き Bing 検索を使用します。
この機能は、パブリックプレビューが有効なすべての有料 Copilot 加入者が利用できます。
組織およびエンタープライズは、github.com 上の Copilot 設定で「プレビュー機能にオプトインする」を選択することで、この機能およびその他のパブリックプレビュー機能を有効にできます。

We’ve enabled model native web search in certain models in Copilot chat on github.com. This enhancement lets Copilot use the model’s built‑in web search to answer current events and other time-sensitive questions with more speed and accuracy.
When enabled and where available, GitHub Copilot Chat on github.com will use model native web search.
Other models will continue to use Bing search.
This capability is available to all public preview enabled paid Copilot subscribers.
Organizations and enterprises can enable this and other features in public preview by selecting Opt in to preview features in the Copilot in github.com setting.
You can try model native search today by asking about current events in GitHub Copilot Chat on github.com using any of the following models:
GPT-5.1-Codex-Mini (in public preview)
GPT-5.1-Codex-Max
You may also opt out of this functionality by toggling off the setting titled Copilot can search the web using model native search in Copilot settings.
