GoogleはMac向けのネイティブ（native）Geminiアプリをリリースしました。これは既存のスマートフォンアプリに加え、同AIアシスタント（AI assistant）初のデスクトップ版となるものです。
このアプリはキーボードショートカット（keyboard shortcut）（Option + Space）でいつでも呼び出すことができ、現在使用中のプログラムから離れる必要はありません。ユーザーはGeminiと画面共有を行い、複雑な図表の要約などの作業を行えます。ローカルファイル、Google Drive、Photos、NotebookLMもすべて連携して利用可能です。
利用可能なツールには、画像・動画・音楽の生成に加え、Deep Research（深層調査）とCanvas（キャンバス）が含まれます。このアプリは無料で提供されており、macOS 15以降が必要で、gemini.google/macから世界中どこでもダウンロード可能です。Googleによると、今後数ヶ月のうちにさらに多くの機能が追加される予定です。

Google has released a native Gemini app for Mac, marking the first desktop version of its AI assistant alongside the existing smartphone apps.
The app can be called up anytime with a keyboard shortcut (Option + Space), no need to leave whatever program you're currently using. Users can share their screen content with Gemini to do things like summarize complex diagrams. Local files, Google Drive, Photos, and NotebookLM can all be pulled in as well.
Available tools include image, video, and music generation, along with Deep Research and Canvas. The app is free, requires macOS 15 or later, and is available worldwide at gemini.google/mac. Google says more features are coming in the months ahead.
